MAKE DISCIPLINE FUN

The word discipline feels to most of us to be negative. It conjures up thoughts of punishment, of struggle, of being kept from that which is enjoyable.  I want you to think of the word  positively. It is the path by which we can become 'heroes' in our own lives. We need to revisit our approach to taking responsibility for what it is that will truly make us happy. When we are emotionally attached to an idea, it is difficult to see that negative and positive are states of being that exist because of each other. By viewing everything as ultimately positive, that it is all for your benefit, you give yourself the power to approach any situation with the kind of attitude that can get you to your goals.

Make a few simple rules you can commit to. Once you feel you have then give yourself more rules. As you do this you will come to discover that through rules, through boundaries, you can find real freedom where there are no longer the obstacles in your path that are keeping you from attaining a successful life.

Life is not something we are supposed to suffer through. Life is a process of endless 'tinkering' that leads us to constantly work on our self improvement. We are not 'fixed' by our circumstances. Hard times exist to inspire us to self-create. There are many examples of this through-out history. Our  olympic games are filled with examples of medal winners across the globe who've risen against all odds to be the best not only in their country but in the world.

Ben Franklin said: "Greatness is not for the few, but is the duty of all of us." Why is it "the duty?" Because it is in the drive to be the best that we can be, that we will find our sense of fulfillment, our sense of being a whole person, our connection to a higher power that lies within us and thus a stronger connection to our community. Some Buddhists say that life is suffering. That does not mean that you are meant to be unhappy.  It means that this life is filled with experiences that disappoint and that the purpose of life is found in how you respond to that suffering. How can you use suffering to turn yourself into a MASTER of your destiny?

At the Will Powers Institute you are given 'exercises' to develop the self control that can turn your suffering into your strengths. Start with something very simple that you know you can do. For example, when you wake up in the morning do you make your bed everyday? If you don't, start doing it now. There is no reason a day should pass where you do not perform this action. Make it habit. Make it happen. Because you are starting the day by taking control, the rest of your day will be more enjoyable.

We have to practice what it is we already know.  Knowing it is not enough. You must exercise your Will just like you exercise your body. It is self discipline that WILL give you freedom and joy. When you are in control of your body, your mind, and your spirit, then you are on the true path of enlightenment.

Success on Monday does not guarantee success on Friday - WILL POWERS means determination, persistance and faith that you have within you the ability to create the universe you want to live in. You can make your dreams come true. You can help others to achieve their dreams as well.
As we climb the ladder of enlightenment, our falls will get harder - the tests become tougher not easier.  See these "tests" as blessings. They are what Will make you strong. Keep this in mind when you think you want to give up.  Life is an adventure.  Look at it that way and enjoy the process. In order to grow into your potential one needs stay strong. There will be moments of success and moments of failure.  That is life.  Remember, you are not alone in your adventure.  Be there for others who need your support and they will be there for you.

Dear Will & your Good friend Lynn

I joined your 'Institute' but unfortunately have had to move house since.
I got some postcards from You and the fact that a Total Stranger had went to the bother to write - meant a lot !
I was genuinely in the midst of a Living Hell, Which was far too complex to detail here.
But your Records Really were a Boon to my Disco-very of the Inner Me.
There is a famous Book 'I'm OK, Your'e OK' that I'm sure has been help to Will.
I think He could Also write something like that
I'd be more than helpful to help if any is needed.
One of the the Last Cards was about a campaign to get Dancing For Mental Health Re-Issued on CD
I have since Disco-vered that this 'Dream' came true.
Unfortunately It does not have any of the B Side 'Dub' Version' apparently Beloved by Disc-Jockeys at the Local Danceteria's
I'd love to see a book of Will's but in the mean-time - Perhaps you could ask that little chap who makes Records if any of his Disc-Jockey Chums could have a go at 'Remixing' (I think the youngsters call it) some of your marvelous Self-Help Songs.
So that they could be re-released as bonus songs on a modernised & up-to-date copy of Dancing For Mental Health. = the album.
Wouldn't that be very nice = You could add some of these New Versions so's that you could eventually release a Double Album Version for other Disc-Jockeys round the World.
I'd love to have a 'Double-Pack' of each song that was originally put out.
I do beleive the time is right !
At the very least perhaps a Compact Disc of your Album = with some more versions of your self-help songs.
I'm a keen follower of Art & Design so any help in that department would be tremendously great for me.
